I am from Utah, and currently reside in Syracuse. My favorite medium to work with is Oil Paints, but I do dabble in anything from watercolor to charcoal.
I originally found my love for art through making portraits of my favorite musicians, such as The Beatles and Michael Jackson! If it wasn't obvious already, I love portraiture. I find the complexities of the human head fascinating, especially with how color can reflect off of different surfaces of the face, I try to experiment with that in my art.
My main inspirations are Caravaggio and classic horror films/anything horror related. I think the most interesting characters in a story are not the hero, but the monster. That type of character is more intriguing to me because we as a viewer can see the monsters flaws and struggles, rather than the perfect chiseled hero, and see ourselves in them. I try and reflect that in my paintings.
